Tanglz ’n Bangz Inc. Small Business of the Month. Step inside the Romanesque glamour of Tanglz ’n Bangz Full Service Salon & Spa, and you’ll bask in a world of pampering and peacefulness. Peek behind the scenes, and you’ll get a lesson in creating and growing a business from owner Kim Brown, who launched Tanglz ’n Bangz Inc. in 1995 with a staff of three and has since grown it to 25. This month, the Chamber salutes the business as the July Small Business of the Month. More.
July 12 Celebration Day at Farmers Market. The Saturday, July 12, Farmers Market on Fifth Street downtown will be brimming with activities—free corn on the cob, performances by dulcimer players from 8 to 9 and by Scott Greeson from 9 to noon, and clowns with balloon art and face-painting activities from 9 to noon. And throughout: fresh produce and other homegrown and homemade fare. The market is sponsored by the Downtown Development Council. July 19 Dancing in the Streets.
