Lands Two America
in Bloom Grants. Grants from Tipmont REMC ($4,462) and The
Community of Foundation of Greater Lafayette ($4,625) are funding
the Chamber’s Community Appearance Task Force work for the
American in Bloom contest. Help our communities land the prestigious
award—get those purple (Lafayette) and pink (West Lafayette) flowers planted, and pitch in on community projects. More details

Nominate Elementary
Teachers for Next Year. The Chamber is now taking nominations of
elementary school teachers for the 2009 Golden Apple Awards. All you
have to do is give us the teacher’s name and school, and we’ll
take it from there.

2008 Career Tech Awards. The
Chamber recognized 50 high school students chosen bytheir industrial
technology teachers to receive a Career Tech Award. The 9th
annual commendation recognized positive attitude, good attendance,
application of skills, initiative, adaptability and ability to
follow directions. Each students received a plaque and $50 savings
bond. More.

Students Available for Employment Through ICE Program.
ICE is a yearlong elective for seniors who want to participate in a
career exploration program. The program is available and designed
for students in all diploma pathways whose career goals include
college/university, the military, or the workforce after graduation.
